Delete Your Pewnote Account
Last Updated: September 10, 2026
You can delete your Pewnote account and all of the data associated with it at any time. This page explains both ways to do it and exactly what is removed.
Option 1 — In the App (immediate)
- Open Pewnote and go to the Account tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are deleted from our servers immediately, and the App signs you out.
Option 2 — Without the App
If you no longer have Pewnote installed, or cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on your Pewnote account with the subject line "Delete my Pewnote account". We will confirm the request by replying to that address and complete the deletion within 30 days.
If you cannot email from the account's address, tell us the username on the account and we will verify ownership with a one-time code sent to the account's email before deleting it.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes from our servers:
- Your account: email address, hashed password, display name, username, avatar, church membership
- Sermon notes, personal notes, series, bookmarks and highlights
- Transcripts and any recording still awaiting transcription
- Quizzes, quiz attempts, points and streaks
- Devotionals and devotional plans
- AI chat conversations
- Push notification tokens
- Your subscription status record
- Your AI-processing permission record
Copies held by our service providers (listed in the Privacy Policy) are removed within 30 days under their retention terms. Usage analytics in PostHog are retained for up to 12 months in de-identified form; email us if you would like your analytics profile deleted sooner.
What is not deleted
- A Pewnote Plus subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first in your App Store account settings (iOS) or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions (Android), or you may continue to be billed.
- Anything your church published. Sermons published by your church's Pewbeam operator belong to the church and stay available to its other members.
